About the Artist: Judy Linton began playing piano at the age of four in Taipei, Taiwan. Following a wide range of experiences during high school in singing, dancing, and piano competitions, Judy went to Indiana University where she majored in general music. In 1998, Judy released her first album "One." made of her voice and piano arrangments of classic hymns, recorded in North Hollywood, California. She has continued to arrange old hymns and compose new works. In 2000 in Hawaii, Judy began work on her new album, more of a pop style to be released in Taiwan. In 2001 after the family moved to the mainland (USA), she spent a month in San Diego continuing to compose and refine songs for her album. She recorded in Nashville, Tennessee the summer of 2002, and released her album in Taiwan, September 2003. This album, "You Are My Most Beloved," garnered four Golden Melody Award Nominations, and won the 2004 Golden Melody Award for Best Album - Religion. What now? In May, 2004, Judy released her autobiography (written in the summer of 2003). She continues to be busy with promotion of her book and music album --- newspaper, magazine, radio and television interviews and programs.. But of course she is also extremely busy with her three daughters and family. With all this, she really needs a break, and intends to take one. But we look forward to seeing her future projects: A Christmas album, a 100-hymns album, (another pop album?) and her book on child-raising. (In the mean-time, some of the radio station talk shows are asking Judy questions about these projects and getting a glimpse into what is in her mind and heart.
